I had the pleasure of working with Richard during a business transfer / plant shutdown project.  At the time, Richard had multiple responsibilities and was managing the plant remotely, frequently traveling between sites.  He was able to manage the entire plant staff effectively; he was great at delegating and getting results.  This was a tough period for the plant personnel and he was able to maintain optimism, make tough decisions and complete the entire transition and deactivation of the facility within the right timeframe and more than $2M under budget.  I was the site interim controller at the time and was able to achieve my goals in part due to his leadership, support, strategic planning and experience in making sound business decisions.  I recommend his work and value his experience.
